08) Middle Of The End
Light
golden red,
through the lids of my eyes again.
Sun blurs the line
'till the earth and the sky blend.
Suspended in the moment before climb becomes descend,
as we start to reach the middle of the end.
Bare skin to the soil,
she weaves her dance through the rows of grain,
sings to every seed,
to wake the fruits that they may contain.
Too late to sow, too soon to gather
all that's yours to tend,
as we start to reach the middle of the end.
and it is dawning why you've led me to this place,
and brought me down unto my knees
beneath the brilliance of your face.
It's only natural, but how surreal it seems
when you are caught before awakening,
but no longer really sleeping,
One foot in cold water and the other in a dream...
Rain,
pounding down
like the hooves of a running mare,
filling each step
from the bride to the altar bare.
The fire quenched from air
while the earth takes in it's friend
as we start to reach the middle of the end...
as we start to reach the middle of the end.
