Horizon

When you feel the whole thing getting sloppy
and it's time for another cup of coffee
in a room where it seems to breathe tobacco
and you've got to listen to some wacko
who believes in antiquidated notions
like a sense of honour or devotion
look around for a point to fix your eyes on
'cause you've walked right up to the horizon.

Let me know the moment that you open.
I'm outside, stamping my feet and hoping
that the clouds in the dawning sky are clearing
just enough to restore to you your hearing
'cause the sound here is really quite amazing
lifts you up through the lifetimes,
you've been fading
in and out of a place to try your whys on
'cause you've walked right up to the horizon.

You keep waving your arms in the air
but I tell you, you're already there.
That's the end of the tracks in the snow
but it just looks like there's nowhere to go.

Could it be that memory's mistaken
and tomorrow's news is always breaking
in a place where if you listen just a little
both the ends are rolled up in to the middle?
If you just relax into the feeling
you will find the notion more appealing
that there is no map this mystery lies on
'cause you've walked right up to the horizon.

You keep waving your arms in the air
but I tell you, you're already there.
That's the end of the tracks in the snow
but it just looks like there's nowhere to go.
nowhere to go.
nowhere to go.
nowhere to go.
