mp3's from our 1st CD

Another 1000 Miles put out it's first, (self titled) CD on
July 01, 2000. We recorded it ourselves on portable gear from
MacAulay's Music at the house of a great guy called Dougie Walker,
just after I got back from my first time in England, and before
that, a bit of a car smash. We did it ourselves in this stone
basement with wooden timbers for a floor, like being below decks
in some strange rock ship,. By the standards of our second one, it
was made VERY fast, on unfamiliar gear, at a time when the band
still hadn't done live work... and still, it really did a good job
at pulling our strengths together and focusing them into a disc we
all liked, and one that did pretty well for us starting out. There's
more of these out in the world than anything else I've been on, at any rate...
Here's a few songs from that 1st disc, which is still available, btw...

Please let us know if you experience any problems. Both mp3's are 128kb/s quality, running about 3 to 3.5 MB per song. Obviously, the album cuts have better sound quality than the mp3 versions, but these are conversions of actual album cuts.

P.P.S. (05/01) We've had reports that people using certain versions of Micros**t Internet Explorer have had trouble trying to download these files. This seems to have nothing to do with the files themselves, which Netscape users and users of other versions of Inet Explorer don't seem to have trouble downloading. Instead, it seems to be some issue between some versions of MS Inet Explorer and either Angelfire, or the way they allow us to put files up for public access. So sadly, there isn't much I can do to help except suggesting downloading the latest version of Explorer, or using Netscape (like I do... ha ha ha...)
Seriously, sorry about this. If you can't get the files any other way, email us and we'll see what we can do by chat service file transfer, maybe.
